You can’t do everything or be everywhere at once. Most important men that value themselves are very picky with what and who they give energy and time too. Masculine men are very focus and intentional with their time and energy so letting people waste it is a no go.

Make everyone fight for your attention and time. Don’t give it away for free (I’m not saying charge people for your time I mean don’t let people do stupid stuff with it). As a masculine men people should feel that your time is important by the way you run your life on a consistence schedule.

So if somebody think they can come to your on a Wednesday night to go to the club and get drunk when they know you get up everyday at 5:30am to start your day is less likely too happen. Now you can have fun as a human I think its important to take breaks to prevent burnout but that doesn’t mean go to the club every Wednesday night either.

1.Don’t Stare

One of the easy ways to become awkward is staring at people too long. Usually its a good ideal to slowly look in another direction when the conversation topic is switching then look back when you reengaging in another topic.

When you do stare at people especially a women you want it to be a soul snatching stare (look at the picture below). Saying that you like what you see. That’s different for an awkward stare

If this is not a person you’re having a conversation with for example on a date.

Then do something that keeps you from staring too hard. Go check your phone or play a game on it too kill the awkward time.

Or the best thing to do is if there is a awkward silence just ask them a question. People love to talk about themselves. An since we are not taught to listen(I live in America) and mostly talk. If you are all ears to someone they will talk for days.

When it comes to being awkward one area most people get wrong is being too serious. Whether its speaking with a group of people or just making a mistake and everyone notice dont get embarrassed and make it a big deal.

If you walking in a mall and accidentally slip and start falling. Don’t get up and run away hoping no one seen you. That makes you look like you are embarrassed and confident men are never embarrassed we embrace every moment and very comfortable in our self.

So instead of getting up and running away if you see people laughing smile and laugh with them. Especially if this happens around a women you are trying to impress. She’ll definitely think you’re a very confident and charismatic person to not be ashamed and laugh at yourself falling.

Even when friends and co workers makes jokes about some embarrassing moment you had. Don’t get upset and mad about it. Laugh with them even add to it. When you are not embarrassed about things no tends to care and it makes you look super confident.

Let say you’re calling a co work or friend and their not answering the phone. So when they finally call you back your answer is “what if a robber had a gun to my head and you was the last call I could make. I would’ve been died.”

Humor makes you more comfortable to talk too and be around. It softness the conversion and people with good humor are thought to be more confident charismatic and charming.

I will give you a warning about using dark humor and making fun of people. When it comes to humor from a confident stand point you want to make yourself the joke. You don’t want to be look at as a bully or asshole and people who make fun of other people are usually assholes.

6.Be Yourself

A lot of times people come off awkward because there trying to fit in and be someone their not. Or trying too hard to come off as confident making you awkward instead. Just chill relax and be yourself its easier to be confident and charismatic around people you’re comfortable with because yall have things in common.

I don’t talk about my self much but I am a very confident and charismatic person(which is why I got this blog lol). But even me the “Charismatic King” can find myself feeling awkward when in environments that’s not for me. Its normal so don’t try to fit in a be a poser.

Same advice with women. I know this can be harder to do because you like her and you’re nervous but chill and relax be yourself. Being confident will only take you so far. Beta males struggle with making decision for themselves. They live the life that others decide for them and most of the time the decision was made without them in the room. But also beta men can be very good followers. Because of their ability to follow directions and take orders. An being a good follower is not always a bad trait as most tend to believe. Not everyone could be a general or captain or sergeant.

Every good team needs great people who can take orders. This is a perfect situation for a beta male who would prefer just to take orders and not lead for the front.

Dress Shirts are made to be long sleeve. Sometimes you will see a short sleeve dress shirt like in the 60’s movies or a McDonalds manager but its not a great look.

The Casual Shirt

The Casual shirts looks good with both short and long sleeves. If you are looking too wear a short sleeve button up go with the casual shirt is the better option for summer.

6.Length

The Dress Shirt

The dress shirt is a long in length because its suppose to be worn tuck in. You should never wear a dress shirt untucked. You cant turn a dress shirt into a casual shirt because its untucked. Also the hem at the bottom(that circle area at the end) is bigger with dress shirts.

The Casual Shirt

Casual shirts are short in length because it can be worn untucked. Also try not to wear casual shirts tuck in the the length is too short and it will become untuck all through out the day.

Also try not to buy those hybrid shirts they usually don’t look good untucked because they are kind of too long. An too short too be tuck in because its not long enough.

Let me explain why you need to do these things to a increase your confidence as a man.

How Can A Man Gain Confidence?

Having confidence as a man is everything its what being a man is all about the belief in yourself to conquer the world. When people think of a man its usually two elements confidence and masculinity. So if you lack confidence do you feel like the man you think of when you as I am a man? I’ll let you decide.

So if that answer was no or even may so this blog I’m going give you the 6 things you need to do starting today to become more confident as a man and turn that answer to fuck yes.

1.Fix Your Appearance

If you look like sh*t nothing else I’m going to tell you will work. Its not a motivation speak in the world that can help you become mentally confident when you hate the person you see in the mirror

Especially if the reason is because you don’t take care of yourself. Stop walking around in old baggy dirty clothes. I’m not saying you have to become a model. But you need to find a style that fits you and that you’re comfortable with.

If you feel dont comfortable in suits then dont wear suits. If you dont feel comfortable jeans and t shirt then dont wear it. But find a style that fits you also you’re age and value’s.

2.Carry Yourself Well

Stop walking around like a sad puppy with your head down making yourself look unconfident. Having confident is a verb you could trick yourself into being confident.

Lets do this exercise

Describe to me what a unconfident man looks like? You probably said something like walk with his head down. When sitting down he’s slouch over in the chair not sitting up straight. Has closed body language like he’s scared too talk to anyone. Not making eye contact like he doesn’t want’s anyone to see him.

Now think of a confident man what does he look like? Probably the complete opposite of what we just said. He’s probably well dress. Walking talk like he’s somebody important and has somewhere to be. Sits up straight with great strong posture when sitting. Has open body language greeting and smile at people has he makes his way through the room.

Now which one of those men would you want to be around date or lead your team? Probably the second guy. Remember this for you to feel unconfident first you have to act as if you’re not. Fake it too you make it you don’t have to be completely confident too start acting like it.

3.Control Your Emotions

Control yourself dont get out of character.If someone says or do something that makes you upset keep your cool.Think before you act is a major trait of a confident man. Don’t let people see you all mad and out of control.

Has a man you need to be more logical then emotional. Think things through dont let how you feeling make a decision for you. If something happens like you’re in a bar and someone spill a drink on you dont just react and starting acting like mr tuff guy.

Calm down think for a second see why it happen and go from there. Even when things get a little out of hand for example you spill a drink on the guy now he acting out of control(he didn’t read this blog post).You still keep your cool dont let your emotional take over stay in control.

When you’re control of your emotions and become a man and use your logic. You could think about things reasonably.

Is it worth getting into a bar fight. Risking possibly having the fight get out of control somebody getting shot and killed. Or going to jail or having someone press charges on you. Because some guy acting tuff in a bar. No its not.

Its not wroth it and that’s something only logical confident man does. Stops and thinks about things if nobody has put their hands on you its ok. Its ok to let it go. This type of self control makes you more confident and desirable to be around

4.Go After Your Fears

There a few different fears we have 1.the unknown 2.failure 3.Phobia’s

All three differently the first 2 has the same cure to the disease. Massive f*cking action

Most people let fear stop them from living the life they should. Fear of what will happen if you quit your job and start this new business you always wanted too. What will happen if you try and fail. Will everybody look at you as a failure. Questions we all ask and the answer is nobody cares its your life not theirs.

The fear of the unknow and failure are ridiculous because nothing has even happen yet you’re just making stuff up in your mind. An doing anything that’s out of your comfortable zone is scary but do it anyway. Realizing you’re scared is normal but that doesn’t mean stop.

Even fears like phobias a lot of people are scared of public speaking. How you get over this is go speak in public. You’ll see after you do it that nobody cares and you’re still alive. After a few times you’ll still be scared but do it anyway because you know you can. Because you conquer that fear before. An that will build your confidence.

5.Stop Breaking Promises To Yourself

I think all these points are important. But if I had to pick just one that can make the biggest impact on your life I’ll pick this one.

One of the biggest reason men lack self esteem is your brain knows you’re full of sh*t and not going to do the things you say you going to do. Every week you say you’re going to the gym on monday. Next week comes and you dont go workout. You stay you’re going to start that podcast this month. The day comes and guess who doesn’t start the podcast you.

You may be able to fool some people but you can’t fool yourself. Your brain knows who you are full of it. An wont do what it takes just like you do with going to the gym and starting your podcast.

That’s why you must keep the promises you make to yourself and be a man of your word. If you know going to the gym for 5 days is too much. Start small and keep that promise instead tell yourself that you’re going to go 3 days week. Do something but whatever you say make sure you do it.

Don’t break that promise this will build great self confidence because you know when you say you’re going to do something you will.

6.Believe

Once you start keeping your promise to yourself you’ll start to believe not only in yourself but your dreams. Most people see people living the life of their dreams and instead of seeing it and realizing they can do it too. They say things like this person got lucky or must have came from successful family because they don’t believe things happen like that can happen to anyone. An definitely not them

The man who believes is the man who achieves you have to believe you can do great things. You can have the life you dream the girl you want its all possible if you believe you will do whatever it takes too get the things you want.

This kind of belief in yourself with all the lesson above is how you become confident as a man.

Can You Wear A Tie With A Floral Shirt

As a personal stylish for men and being a stylish man myself(not to brag) the floral shirt is one of my favorite shirts when the weather breaks. Most of the time when people think about the floral shirt they think of being on a beach or a relaxing environment.

But not you and I we are different we are the rouge. Not only can you wear it on a beach or with jeans. But wearing it with a suit and tie is also a great and very stylish option. Now I will be honest depending on where you are wearing this combo I will let you know if its a good option to wear a floral shirt with a tie or not.

How To Wear Floral Shirt With A Tie

When wearing a floral shirt with a tie the first thing you should consider is wear you are going. Because you are wearing a tie I assume you are going to some kind of job or casual setting. Now if you are going to a job interview my answer will be no.

But if you are going for a regular day at work sure no problem.

When putting on this floral shirt and tie one important element you have to think about is the other items like pants.

If you have on a super bright color floral shirt like a pink purple and orange I will go with more of a balancing color on the pants and tie like navy.

Reason why you should consider navy is if you navy blue pants and tie(even if the shirt doesn’t have navy on it) you can balance out the colors

Black is too dark and if you’re wearing a floral shirt and tie it needs to be at least the spring.

Avoid white pants also (unless you are really on a beach at like a wedding or on a boat or something) the reason is because if the shirt is pink purple and orange like the example earlier. Wearing a color that’s in the shirt is over doing it with those shirts colors.

Best Tie To Wear With Floral Shirt

1.The Skinny Tie (2 inches in width)

This type of tie  is very trendy like the floral shirt. The skinny tie is also meant to be worn with slim fitted clothing. So if you are a bigger guy you may want to be sure its not too skinny on you. Also when tying a knot on the skinny tie you want to tie and skinny knot like four and a hand.

2.Modern Slim Tie (2.5 inches in width)

The modern tie is a formal and casual tie. Its good for both so you can wear with tie more formal with a suit jacket if you want. Or just with a floral shirt with this tie it will work.

3.Narrow Tie ( 3 inches in width)

The narrow tie is great for formal and casual events. One great thing about this tie is it can be worn by all men big and small.

4.Traditional Tie (3.5 inches in width)

This is the standard go to tie that men as always worn for years. Not to big or too small just right.

Please make sure you have on the right sizes tie. Like I said earlier if you are a bigger guy don’t wear a skinny tie. Also if you wear a suit jacket or blazer put the tie up against the lapels and make sure the tie is the right sizes.

Best Pattern Tie With Floral Shirt

Before we get into the best pattern ties I have to repeat this please dont wear a tie color that pulls from the shirt.If the shirt is red white and green you can wear a tie that’s those colors.

If you are stylish enough to wear a floral shirt with a tie I need you to be more stylish then color pulling from the shirt to match the tie. You can do better than that.

1.Solid Color Tie

The solid tie is the only tie pattern you need with a floral shirt. Remember you already have a star of the show which is the shirt. Nothing else needs to take attention away from that shirt. Its loud enough

Other Cool Options

Tie Bar

If you want to add a small pop to your floral suit with a tie then adding a tie bar could do the trick.

short half inch bar

If you have on a slimmer or narrow tie you want to go with a this option.

Half Inch Bar

If you have on a normal or large tie the half inch bar will be a good choice.

When picking between sliver or gold check and see what color is your watch. If that does help go with sliver its the safest option.

Remember when putting the tie bar on it always goes between the 3rd and 4th button of your shirt.

Do you wear a belt with a suit? The Guide When You Can And Cant

The question of whether or not to wear a belt is the recent years in men’s wear is a question that comes up a lot in recent years. Because back in the day most suit where made with quality often by a tailor. And fitted your body only for you and nobody else. Now that suits are off the rack mass production and made to fix everyone’s body meaning it fits no one very well. So now suits come with things like belts loops obviously because a 30×32 fits everyman a little differently.

Yes Or No If I Had To Pick

A quick introduction of myself before we get deep in this I am a mens personal stylist. I specialized in casual and formal men’s clothing. Everything from tuxedos to work suit even your going to the bar sexy suit. I know you probably don’t know the difference(If you do I’m sorry).

My reason for telling you this is I’m not some freelancer ,employee or unstylish guy writing this too make side hustle money. I wake up everyday and style men for a living. So trust me I know what I’m talking about.

Now we got that out the way back to it

The answer would be no

Most suit should be custom made or at the least made to measure. If the suit is made to fix your body it shouldn’t need to have belt loops.It should fit you perfectly from the start. I know that a lot of you probably don’t have a made to measure or custom suit.

What If My Suit Is Not Custom Should I Wear A belt?

First to answer this questions lets prevent it first if you have so time before the event you’re going too. Take the suit to the tailor and get it adjusted too your body. Listen to me this is the best suit advice you’ll ever be giving. Never wear a suit that has not been tailor to fit your body.

It doesn’t always have to be completely custom. You can buy it off the rack at a big box store like Macy’s, JCPenney or Men’s Wearhouse then take it too the tailor. If you can wait until these stores have a sale then by so you can save a bit of money and use the saving to take it too the tailor.

Reason Too Wear A Belt With Suit

Now although I just wrote all those paragraphs explaining why you shouldn’t wear a belt with a suit now I’m going to explain a few reason that you should. Being a personal stylish I know a lot men will still wear a belt with the suit so I want to make sure you have a style guide or even with the belt you look your absolute best.

You’re Not Comfortable Without A Belt

Most men just like wearing belts we been wearing them our whole life. Even if you have the choice to wear or not you will still put the belt on. If you are the type that feel better with a belt on wear a belt.At the end of the day if it makes you feel better and more confident to have the belt I think you should wear it.

The Pants Has Belt Loops

If the pants has belt loops you have no choice but too wear a belt. When you buy pants with belt loops because its an off the rack suit you can get them adjusted to fix you perfectly and have the belt loops remove and replace with an alternative like side adjusters(we’ll talk about this later).

But if that’s not the case you cant walk around with empty belt loops. This looks sloppy (in my personal opinion) an appears like you forgot your belt this morning when getting dressed. An when you put on a suit you always want to give off the vibe of well put together and coordinated. Missing belt with belt loops doesn’t not send a well put together message.

But if you are going for a more bad boy rouge casual look with a suit and think wearing no belt with belt loops pants helps you pull the look off then go for it.

Remember at the end of the day if you are confident in it that’s all that counts

The Belt Is Stylish

One of my favorite reason you should wear a belt is the belt is very stylish. An not to be cliché or trying to flex but if its designer that’s a good reason as well.

If the belt is a very stylish belt and complement the suit and makes it look better definitely wear it. Style has no black or white yes or no answer it always depends.

Also like I said earlier not to be cliché but if you have a designer belt it becomes more of a fashion statement too wear the it. Some designer belts like Gucci and louis Vuitton represents class and elegance its not even about the style. Also with Gucci and Louis Vuitton belts most of the time they don’t even match the suit.

Its not uncommon it certain parts of the world like New York, LA and Miami that you will see someone wearing a navy blue suit and brown shoes but the Gucci belt is green and red. The matching of the belt has nothing to do with it he’s probably wearing it has a status symbol. So if you want to flex with a designer belt do it. But be careful don’t take this too far try to stay color coordinate to so degree.

An its not always appropriate for example if you are going to a business board room meeting or job interview the Christian Louboutin belt with the sparkled spikes may not be a good choice.

But if you’re going to be prom or on a date at the bar or some sort of classy event like a wedding the Christian Louboutin belt may be more appropriate for that environment.

The Number Rule You Must Follow When Wearing A Belt

If you are going to wear a belt I need to commit to follow this law not rule but law. Breaking this will put you in style prison for a very long time.

IF YOU WEAR A BELT IT MUST MATCH THE SHOE.IT HAS TO BE THE SAME COLOR TONE. You have to get the exact match color. Especially with brown shoes because its so many different tones of brown. So if you commit to wearing a belt please make sure you have one to match every pair of dress shoes.

Best Belt Alternatives

If you listened to my advice and decided to trust me (I appreciate that) and not wear belts but still wants something to hold your pants up here are some great alternative options.

Before we get into the alternative options remember too first take your pants to a tailor and get them fitted to perfectly fit you. An you need to get the belt loops removed don’t wear pants with belt loops with belt is so important that’s why I keep saying it.

Also your tailor will help you add these alternatives to your pants.

1.Side Adjusters

Side adjusters are a piece of extra fabric on the side with a piece of metal that the fabric goes through to help you loosen or unloosen your pants.(See picture down below)

2.Suspenders

I’m sure you probably know what suspenders are but just incase you are not familiar with them. They are a leather strap that goes over your shoulder to help hold you pants up.

There are a few different kinds of suspenders you can go with like

1.Business suspenders  = these are the normal traditional suspenders you probably think of when suspenders come too mind

2.Fashion Casual suspenders = These are usually for a fashion statement comes in color

3.Black Tie Tuxedo Suspenders = Black tie suspenders are made from silk

4.Work suspenders = These are the wide thick ones that are thick leather made for jeans.

5.UnderClothes Suspenders = These are meant to be worn under the shirt

Black Suit Or Tuxedo

Going to an event and wondering which one should you wear or what to know the differnce.In this blog post im going to be doing a detail side by side comprasion to tell you everything thats different between the two.

1.Occasion

One of the biggest reason to deicide if you want to wear a tuxedo or black suit is the occasion. When wearing a tuxedo you want the event to be very formal. Normally the invite will specifically say to wear a tuxedo(or black tie event).If the invite doesn’t say wear a tuxedo (unless you are reading this because you are going to prom) you may need to wear a traditional black suit.

The black suit is worn to every occasion. Weddings, funeral or formal dinners any place you think of you can wear a black suit if its formal

Now lets go deeper

2.Jacket

The Lapel

The Tuxedo

The tuxedo jacket and the suit jacket can be very different. Lets start with the suit lapels the tuxedo has a shawl lapel or sometimes peak lapel (look below for examples)

Also on a tuxedo the material on the lapel is often a different then the rest of the jacket. So if the jacket is wool the lapel face could be leather or different type of wool.

The Suit

For a regular suit jacket they are usually notch or peak lapel. You don’t see shawl lapel on regular suit jacket its not very common but if you like the shawl lapel I’m sure if you search hard enough you can find them somewhere out there.

2.Breast(Suit Buttons)

All of these suit options can come in single double or breast. Making them all look the same

single breast suits are suits with two (sometimes three buttons but very uncommon) on the jacket

3.Pockets

The Tuxedo

The pockets on the tuxedo are a clean open slash very clean look

The Suit

The suit pockets can have many styles. But the most common is for the suit to have flaps over the pocket and can have 3 pockets as well.

Waist Covers

The Tuxedo

With a tuxedo you have to wear a waist cover of some sort. Modern tuxedos you often see people wearing them without a waist cover and it expose some of the shirt. This is improper for a tuxedo. Below are the two waist cover you can choose from. Pick the one you like best its mandatory.

Keep in mind when wearing a tuxedo with Cummerband you always want to keep one button fasten. You can unbutton it when you sit down if you need to

1.Cummberband (most popular option)

2.Black Evening Waist Coat

When wearing the evening waist coat you want to wear the suit jacket open.

The Suit

With the suit you have the option of wearing a 3 piece suit if you like. Its not mandatory to wear a evening waist coat or vest is what its called on a normal black suit.

Dress Shirts

The Tuxedo

When wearing the tuxedo the dress code for the shirt is a another hard rule that has to be followed. You must wear a white shirts with some sort of pleats in the shirt. This is mandatory.

The shirt should almost have double cuffs also known as french cuff with holes for cuff links.

The collar of the shirt also most be a wing collar shirt not the standard shirt you wear with traditional suit.

Also with the tuxedo its mandatory to wear a blue tie(Thats why a lot of tuxedo gathering are called black tie events)

The Suits

With a traditional suit you can almost wear anything you want. But the standard is the spread collar shirt

With the suit you can also wear any tie you want including a bow tie that you would wear with a tuxs.

Ties

The Pants

The Tuxedo

the tuxedo pants has a lot of things thats very different from the normal business suit pants lets get into it.

the braid

one of the biggest differnces is the braid going down the side of the pants.Its usally a statin stripe (black shining line going down the side on the pants).look down at the pictures for example.Sometimes depending on the type of tuxedo (Black or White Tuxdeo) The pants can have two braids.

Also with tuxedo pants that dont come with belt loops.Wearing a belt with formal pants like a tuxedo is a no go and should never be done.Instead of belt loops they come with side adjusters or you can wear the tradititonal suspenders.

Suit Pants

On regular suit pants normally there is not design on the side of the pants just one color. An also with regular suit pants you do have the options to get side adjusters (more commonly on custom and high end suit pants).Most commonly on suit pants you’ll find belt loops.

Pleats

With both tuxedo and regular suit pants you have the option too have pleats or not.

Cuff or No Cuff

The Tuxedo

The tuxedo pants are to never have a cuff. Cuff pants are not consider to be formal. An the tux is a very formal suit

The Suit Pants

The suit pants can be cuff or not depending on what kind of suit it is.,Remember that cuffs are a casual style so if you are going somewhere formal it may be best to go uncuff.

The Shoes

The Tuxedo

With the tux you have to wear a black highly polish black oxford shoe. A more trendy thing I see is people wearing suede loafers or sometimes suede slip ons.

The Suit

With a suit you have almost every shoe option you want. But if you plan on going with a more formal shoe like a black oxford. Maybe it does have to be polish and shiny. Also with the traditional suit you can go for different color like brown.You can also add a different shoe style like a nice boot pending on season or a loafer also pending or season.
