Confidence Vs Charisma? This Is The Difference

What’s the difference is confidence vs charisma?

Confidence is your belief that you can do it anything because you are going to figure it out and do what needs to be done.

Example If you are about to jump out a plane you want to be confident that you know how to jump out the plane open the parachute and land safely.

Charisma is the way you make people feel around you feel good.

Example President Obama is charismatic when you around him he’s always smiling and making the people around him feel welcome. He remember your name and you feel and makes you feel important.

In this blog im going to be going into a deep dive into the questions of what’s the difference between the two.

Confidence Vs Charisma

1.What is Confidence

According to google confidence is “the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust.”
Confidence is more than a belief than anything else.

Although confidence more than a belief than a skill. It skill takes skill to gain confidence. If you’re been practicing public speaking for 5 years straight and one day at an even someone calls you on stage to stay something and you’re knowledgeable on the topic .You’ll be pretty confident while speaking because you have so much practice in public speaking you’ll more than likely wont be nervous and fearing you going to say something stupid or nothing at all.

Examples of confidence

These are examples of confident how how they show up in different situations

1.Mike Tyson is confident in a fight.

2.Lebron James is confident on the basketball court

3.Christian Ronaldo is confident playing soccer

Although confidence is a internal mindset belief you need skills to believe in yourself enough to be confident

Can You Have Confidence If You Don’t Have Skills?

Yes if your belief is high enough but you wont be really confident at a high level. Lets use this example say you’re about to get in a fight with some guy and he turn around as its you guess it Mike Tyson and not old Mike its young Mike from the 80’s.An he putting his gloves up and the bell rings its game time.

You can act confident all you want too but if you are not a pro boxer you’re about to get knocked out cold and probably suffer a brain injury .Hopefully he doesn’t kill you if you’re lucky.

Know lets take the example above and say that you are a professional boxer and you’ll about to step in the ring with Mike Tyson. For the young guns that don’t know Mike Tyson was one of the scariest boxers to step in the ring with knocking out almost every opponent he faced. Even pro’s got scared you could see it on their face and see it in their body language.

They had the skills of a professional boxers but didn’t have the believe in themselves that they could beat Mike and it show and Mike would eat them alive knocking people out in the first and second round.

This shows to be confident you need both skills and mindset belief.

2.What Is Charisma

According to google charisma is “compelling attractiveness or charm that can inspire devotion in others.”

I kind of agree but not really.

My definition of charisma will be more of “The act of making people feel good in your presences and being charming”

Charisma is more of a verb action word. To be charismatic you have to make other people feel great. When you are around charismatic people they make you feel better after they leave you. They remember your name smile when they speak tell jokes to make you laugh and inspire you to do things. When they leave the room you remember them. They make you feel like a close friend even if its your first time meeting them. They have almost a star quality it factor too them.

To Be Charismatic You Don’t Have To Be Confident At All

You may be a little taken back by that headline so let me explain. Lets say you are in a group class trying to learn how to cook. You are a tribble cook that’s why you are taking a class on cooking. The teaches call you to the front of the class and ask you too cook a steak. You make a complete fool of yourself knocking over pots and pans. Using the wrong seasonings and worst of all you almost burn down the kitchen.

But the whole time you smile your way though it and recognize that you don’t know how to cook. We’ll that vulnerability of knowing you can’t cook but trying away makes you relatable to the people in the room and makes you’re connection to them even stronger.

Although we love winners and celebrate champions everybody can relate to sucking at something. An charismatic people know this and use it to make a closer bound appearing more human and not prefect. We is a lot more common that being a prefect winner who’s good at everything.

So too sum it up just remember confidence is a mental belief in yourself.

Charisma is making other people feel good and welcome. This involves other people

Confidence is you all you

Charisma is about other people.
